This Southern Thai curry paste commonly eaten with noodles, is influenced by the cuisine of northern Malaysian peoples living close to the far South of Thailand. Southern Thai red curry tastes are influenced by historical sea trading routes, and can be distinguished from red curry tastes from other arts of Thailand due to the inclusion of yellowcolored turmeric
